All new entries were invited to HQ for two days. We were introduced to the board of directors (nerve racking experience), went on a tour of the production sites and laboratories (love the latter) and got a feel for the corporate culture.
I spoke to two Russian colleagues and was fascinated by their markets and customers. It is a different world out there in the newer emerging markets - extremely dynamic and full of opportunity - different than in already saturated countries.
It is nice to know that an international career is within one´s grasp. Of course performance has to be excellent and the desire and will to succeed is key driver for success, but it is nice to know nonetheless.
I was one of the youngest there. Compared to my former company - where everyone was under the age of 30 - this was quite surprising.
On the whole this company feels more mature and organised. Decisions are less spontaneous, more deliberate. I feel more at home here.
