A lazy weekend

We just spent a weekend in Thun, lazing around the spa, drinking copious amounts of tea & generally enjoying ourselves. The weather was awful, but that is nothing new this summer. I feel quite relaxed, finally. Have been running around the place like a deranged hyena these past few weeks and was exhausted!

Am glad I could switch off. Had my doubts for a minute, my head did not stop churning. Was able to put work aside once I noticed that I was not the only one dwelling. We laughed it off and that was that.

After almost a year I can slowly see the impact of my actions on the market. Fantastic! well, not everything has been good. But I am getting there! All that about learn to crawl / walk before you can learn to run. Having to evaluate past actions and decide where I want to go with certain clients is really interesting.

The most important lesson I need to learn is the ability to let go. If I made a mistake, it is not the end of the world.

My boss is still happy, touch wood. Am getting a new client soon, a large account. *worried smile* Not everyone is pleased to change over to us, so will have to fight to keep the franchisees. That wont be easy.

Last week I had a nice chat with a headhunter. She told me that it was difficult to find women key accounts / or just generally in sales, because they tend to stay / switch back to Marketing. Languages in CH are also key to success, it is particularly hard to find people who are fluent in German & French. Its turning out to be my USP...!
Not that I am thinking of changing, not at all. If they call, of course I will talk to them. Always interesting too!

Ever since Switzerland won against Spain, I cannot tear my eyes away from the matches. Weird character change that, I hardly know myself! This world cup is proving to be quite interesting, with all the huge names disappointing left right and center!
