I found my dress!

Am rather shell-shocked that I managed to pick out A dress amongst the numerous gowns out there.
It's beautiful.

Last night I suddenly got thinking about wedding dresses and remembered that there was this bridal shop just over the boarder. I had a strong urge to call them and fix an appointment immediately. Unfortunately it was quite late, so I called them fist thing in the morning and was surprised to get an appointment for the afternoon.

It turns out that the week before Christmas is their slowest time, so Mum, Dad & I had the shop to ourselves for the whole afternoon!

After trying on half the dresses in the shop, it came down to a toss up between a beautiful short knee-length dress and this gorgeous gown made of Spanish lace.

Despite us dressing up the short dress with a fantastic hat and shoes, the simple lace beat it hands down.
I really tried to go for the shorter dress. I wanted something modern, fun and edgy. But it was not to be. I had already decided. (Not to mention Mum. She practically bullied me into the gown when I started my "short dress crusade"!)

WOW!
A HUGE weight just rolled off my shoulders when I decided that yes, this is it!
Even if I have to wrap my head around the fact that yes, not only are we going to have a church ceremony, I am going to be a classic, traditional bride. IN IVORY LACE.
