Our budget is stretched to its absolute limit. Have no more leeway for any eventualities. Well, I can juggle between allocated sums for various elements, but all costs have been attributed and we are now maxed out. Which means: now we have allocated, I need to ensure that we do not spend as much as we could = start saving!
Plan A = no colour theme has been scrapped.
We are now on to Plan B: our colour theme is Ivory, black & pink/rose.
It means we will be shelling out a horrendous amount on chair covers, but I trust it will be worth it. The chairs at the dinner venue are BLUE for f***s sake! Despite doing my best to convince myself, I am not a blue kinda girl.
My dress is ivory, his dinner suit is black and pink compliments both colours beautifully. Red is too strong, but different shades of pink should do the trick. Besides, I do want pink shoes =0)
Am planning to move my hidden stash of cash over into the "danger zone", i.e. my freely accessible savings account. This move marks the end of my unmarried existence: I am willingly sacrificing my security blanket for this "special day".
No more will I be able to up and leave Switzerland at a moments notice to set up life far away from cheese, chocolate, mountains and snow. (Not that I was really considering doing so, but the point is: I could have.)
OK, now I did just have a "lets downscale this wedding thing to a garden party" moment.
That moment has passed though.
Yes, completely passed.
