1768 attendees, 200 volunteers, 16 exhibitors / clubs in the Swiss Village, Celebrity Chef Reto Mathis, and we even made it into the current edition of the Migros Magazin back in Switzerland!
Here's my hero of the hour, Manuel's colleague Marcel saved the day: we had 2 idiots at the grill who hadn't cooked a Bratwurst in the past 20 years. There was this huge line of people waiting & complaining.
Hands on as ever, I jumped behind the grill with this other girl and we started frantically saving what they had been intent on destroying, when up steps Marcel.
"Can you grill?" I holler. He spreads his arms wide and with his roguish grin yells back: "Tina, I'm from ST. GALLEN!"
How I love a man who can cook ;)
(Even if it's just a Bratwurst & in his case a mean vegetable quiche.)
