Today I realised for the first time that what I do and what I teach can impact strangers.
After class we offer tea and make time for answering questions, sharing about our practise, etc.
I had a small class of four today (approximate age range from 35 to 55 yrs) and during teatime all were very eager to hear my story. I was surprised at their interest and shared how I found Dahn Yoga and how it helped me learn to quiet my mind and find inner balance and peace.
We have a poster describing our workshops and I used it to illustrate my path, as well as a poster of the life particle sun to talk about the principles of energy. They were very attentive and two of them went straight to reception and signed up for a workshop - their attitude was very "I want what you have".
I feel very humbled, even more so as I did not really think that I had given them a good class, but they were very enthusiastic and actions followed words. Am thankful I could be of service to them.
And should you be interested, here are the three fundamental principles of energy:
- Where the Mind Goes, Energy Follows
Energy follows the direction of your mind and leads to the creation of reality, both in your body and in your life. This principle reminds us to pay attention to what we are thinking and of its power to create our lives.
- Water Up, Fire Down
When your head is cool, your chest is open, and your abdomen is warm. your energy and circulation are in optimal balance. Under stress, it is usually reversed, and you become “hotheaded” and sluggish. By learning simple techniques to manage your energy, you can keep the hot fire energy in your belly and cool water energy in your head. In that energy state, you are physically strong and mentally clear.
- Stages of Energetic Growth
As you stabilize your physical energy, you will attain emotional well being, leaving a clear mind that will light up your spirit. Our body, mind, and spirit are not separate from each other.
