I had a great week.
I managed to spend every evening out and about, wining and dining away to my heart´s content. It is so nice to feel ALIVE again!
S introduced me to a great find: Der Wilde Maa. They serve up a mean fillet steak on a hot stone plate - absolutely delicious!
Today the sword of Damocles descends... I have to cook!
My standard Christmas Dinner has always been a source of curiosity for some of my Swiss friends. This year I agreed to stuff a turkey for them. Today is the day.
We do not have enough chairs, let alone plates for all and sundry. But that is the least of my worries... am not sure if the bird will fit into the oven!
Thankfully they are not 100% au fait with traditional English Xmas fare, i.e. there will be no roast potatoes, no Brussels sprouts, no ham... instead we will have typical Swiss condiments (Spätzli!). Have to take it slow... But I am not complaining, far from it! Xmas is just around the corner and saves me eating an identical meal twice!
