I gave Manuel a weekend trip for his birthday... he gets to choose where we go.
Of course it came complete with "terms and conditions" e.g. no meals included AND he as to take ME along with him :-)
Jordan is still high on my list, apparently it is pretty easy to get by with a lonely planet. The ancient town of Petra should be fascinating!
China - I would love to see the great Wall. The cities do not fascinate me that much (surprisingly enough - must be getting old) I prefer the scenery.
Iran & Pakistan are dream destinations which I will not pursue at the moment - their current political situation is too uncertain for me.
I still feel as if I missed out on going to Java, Indonesia last year. I hope to do so soon, if not next year than in 2012.
