Sunday

I cut my hair!
Feel so liberated. Imagine a Victora-Beckham-esque bob meets razor (only a little bit, above the ear).

We had our Awards ceremony last Sunday. Was absolutely F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C.
The gala was well organised, the food good, the dresses hot, and the after party even hotter.
Managed to drag our bodies back to the hotel at 5am, only to get up again at 8:30h... work is an unforgiving mistress.

The best bit was when the interviewer asked a random woman what she thought of the show. She started off going "I don't know, didn't understand a word, I only speak English" and made a huge scene. Everyone was like oh, how embarrassing!, move on interviewer, move on!

He couldn't leave without being rude and at one point she grabbed his mike, left him standing and started SINGING! Everyone's jaws dropped: her voice was superb! All eyes upon her, she strode towards the catwalk, when suddenly a deep baritone picked up the tune. All heads swivelled to the other side of the room, to see a huge lion-like man (huge hair) advancing down the aisle, mesmerising the audience with his song.

We barely had time to go "WOW", when two new voices, joined the scene and within seconds we had 4 members of British Incognito on stage!
They were out of this world, had us dancing between the chairs, all holding hands, rocking out to opera, funk, soul & rock.
Absolutely amazing.

At one point, right at the beginning, one of the guys came and sat on my knee whilst singing "I can't take my eyes of you". Gave me such a shock! Instantly all cameras descended, and I was up on three massive TV screens for an audience of 650 people to see. OMG.

Thankfully he moved on quickly... and I made a point of not sitting down again for the rest of their performance!
