We are going apartment hunting tomorrow. Really curious about the possible shoeboxes we will be able to afford. Honestly, 3000.- USD for 50m2 is a joke. Worse than Zürich & Geneva! Well, I managed to find flats in both cities, so NYC will hopefully work out too.
Have resolved to be careful what I wish for. It might actually come true!
For example, I always dreamt of having curls, until suddenly my hair took on a life of its own! It's become completely unmanageable. I look like a shocked hamster when I get up in the morning. Terrible!
It's snowing over here. Really horrible weather. Tried to get our social security numbers today. Unfortunately the social security office closed early because of the pending storm "Athena". I understand that people are very nervous - I would be too if I'd had to walk from downtown up to the Empire State Building to charge my phone because there was no electricity!
was still rather pissed off that we battled through the snow to get to the office and were turned away. Oh well, c'est la vie.
